InformED newsletter - Issue 3

This issue is all about celebrating the achievements of WLAs.  And there’s a lot to shout about. In March a group of WLAs attendee the unionlearn conference ‘Building work communities’ where our WLAs met David Milliband. There are photographs and news about the event. We’ve also got a special report on how our WLAs have been celebrating and promoting the benefits of learning throughout Adult Learners’ Week. We love to hear what WLAs are up to and the impact they are making so we were delighted to hear that Kerry Stables of the Longhurst Group has won a company award for growth. Helen Mather, Training Manager said, “Kerry has developed her own skills and those of a large number of Longhurst tenants. Kerry’s enthusiasm for delivering training to tenants is a credit to both herself and to the company.” Well-done Kerry.

Special congratulations to all our WLAs who have been awarded their ON level 2 certificate in Information and Advice having successfully completed the two day course. Councillor Poll will present certificates on 24 May to Kerry Stables, (Longhurst Group) Adam Ellwood and Louisa Sharpe (Gelder Group), Kirsty Everington and Ann Fowkes (Lincolnshire Cooperative), Joanne Topley, Martin Pagram and Kevin Doney (Forum Packaging), Fran Lovely and Jayne Stevens (Mortons of Horncastle).
