Bravo Motors Group

Established in 2008 and based in Barking, Bravo Motors Group offers a range of transportation services to corporate, public and private customers. These services include chauffeur-driven executive cars, airport transfers, couriers, minicabs, home and office removals and storage facilities.  The team consists of six office staff and two company drivers, with ten more sub-contracted drivers.

 

Bravo Motors Group take a keen interest in encouraging learning both in their workplace and the local community. Quality Manager, Santosh Jassal, was enthusiastic to learn new skills especially as she had recently returned to work after being a housewife for seventeen years. Santosh took part in Workplace Learning Advocate training including a two day accredited Information and Advice Course in London. After attending the course she was inspired and left with the confidence to pass on what she had learned to her colleagues and even encouraging her sixteen-year-old son to continue learning beyond his school days.

 

What impressed Santosh the most was the amount of courses that were available and learning exactly where to look for them. Bravo Motors Group now have a WLA noticeboard up in the office full of leaflets and posters with information and advice for the colleagues; and in the future they are planning on setting up different theme clubs.

 

Training and development is important to Bravo Motors Group and they are currently  working locally with Havering College and supporting the ROSE Programme (Realistic Opportunities for Supported Employment) whose aim is to secure paid work placements for clients with learning disabilities, they have had a great response with potential candidates applying for the position and are considering employing someone from the ROSE Programme.

 

Bravo Motors Group are ethical, social aware and environmentally-conscious company. They are working towards ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditation and Investors in People. They plan on making more improvements making a cleaner, greener world. In the future they would also like to have vehicles with wheelchair access, to go nationwide and gain more accreditations.

 

They actively encourage their team members to support local communities by participating in a wide range of community projects including: the arts, sport, health care, education and charities. Their aspirations are to continue making a significant contribution to the creation of a cleaner, greener world; to constantly improve their services to delight the customers; and to benefit the local communities. They also plan to introduce vehicles with wheelchair access, to go nationwide and gain more accreditations.

 

WLAs have given Bravo Motors Group the motivation and resources to train and learn in the workplace. They hope to carry on with their legacy ensuring they are not a company who just wishes to make profit, they intend to benefit the community as a whole.
